Peter Sunderland, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Peter Sunderland, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in the evaluation, treatment and medication management of mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and ADHD for both children and adults. Peter focuses on a multidisciplinary approach which may include coordination with your primary care provider and/or therapist to provide a more holistic approach to treatment. He joins SCS after working for 5 years as Lead Nurse for Trillium Family Services in Portland, Oregon caring for children and teens with a variety of behavioral and mental health conditions. Peter has a passion for providing education to patients, their families, schools and the greater community.
Peter graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology in 2002 and from Linfield College in Portland, Oregon with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2013. He continued his education receiving his Master of Science degree in Nursing in 2017 from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Peter has lived in the great northwest since 2002 and loves the diversity this part of the country has to offer. His hobbies include hiking, camping, disc golf, swimming, and generally being in the outdoors. Peter also loves to watch the latest science fiction movies, travel and explore the Northwest area, and spend time volunteering for his church. However, perhaps his greatest love is spending time with his family.
